Stop Log Gates
A
stop log gate is a shut off device used in applications where absolute sealing
is not required. Stop log gates are used to isolate the intake channel for
undertaking repair and maintenance work of the intake equipment.
The stop log gate consists of one or several segments depending on
the handling facility and headroom available at site.
Replaceable profile sealing is provided on all sides for effective sealing.
Stop log gates are designed for the maximum water head. The skin plate is
suitably reinforced with stiffeners.
Pressure equalising valves integral with the stop
log gate are provided for balancing the water level across the gate prior
to raising of the gate. The valves connected to the lifting lugs can be
operated by means of a lifting beam.
An automatic engagement/disengagement type lifting beam is provided for
easy handling during lifting & lowering of gates.
