Over
1000 Belt Conveyors designed and supplied by Macmet for various industrial
sectors are working satisfactorily over the last two decades. Macmet supplies
conventional belt conveyors, long distance overland conveyors and pipe conveyors
to meet diversified technological requirements of material transportation
in a safe manner at low cost. Conventional belt conveyors of belt width
up to 2000 mm are covered within the range of Macmet manufacture. All types
of belt conveyors, whether flat or troughed, horizontal or inclined along
with curvatures in the vertical plane, have been supplied by Macmet to its
customers.
Troughed belts are normally used to carry bulk materials with low capital
cost. With the availability of highly resilient belting, troughing angles up
to 45 degree are common for handling difficult materials and higher load
capacity. With the availability of high strength belting, the limitation on
the length of individual belt conveyors has been drastically reduced and
customers are frequently looking for longer belt conveyors to reduce
additional transfer points, drives and subsequent maintenance work.
